Pantry Basics

Stocking your pantry is one of the most important factors to successful kitchen organizing. I have a tried and true list of ingredients that come to my rescue over and over again. With the pantry basics I can create almost any dish my family requests. I promise these items will make your kitchen happier!  You’ll need them to be well stocked for The Fresh 20 menu plans!

Quality matters. Whenever possible aim for the best ingredients you can afford especially when it comes to olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It really makes a difference in the overall taste of your food.

Pantry Basics

  1. olive oil
  2. grapeseed oil
  3. balsamic vinegar
  4. white wine vinegar
  5. organic, reduced sodium chicken or vegetable broth (two 32 ounce boxes of 32-ounce)
  6. garlic bulb
  7. onions (use mostly yellow and some red)
  8. dried oregano;
  9. herbes de provence
  10. ground cumin
  11. cayenne pepper or chili powder
  12. paprika
  13. black pepper
  14. kosher salt
  15. tomato paste
  16. Dijon mustard (brown mustard)
  17. 100% whole wheat pasta (keep long and short on hand)
  18. long grain brown rice
  19. soy sauce or brags liquid amino acid
  20. whole wheat flour
