I love the parade of holiday gift guides in the national magazines, lifestyle blogs and on morning television.  There’s some neat gifts out there.  And let’s not forget Oprah’s list. What fun!

But I’m not in the mood to consume this year.  It feels so much more satisfying to give so our 12 days of giving came to life!

The Fresh 20 team curated a list of charities that have personal meaning in one way or another.   I’m proud of this collection. It represents the diversity and generous spirit of our team.  We’re donating $250 a day for the next twelve days.  I hope you’ll be inspired to reach out to an organization in your community no matter how small the offering. Every dollar makes a difference.

I’m really excited to start off our 12 Days of Giving with a very worthwhile charity, Share Our Strength.  When we think of childhood hunger, we imagine a far away third world country with a famine problem.  For a long time, I didn’t realize how bad the problem is right here at home in North America.

No Kid Hungry

The No Kid Hungry campaign connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. The campaign also engages the public to make ending childhood hunger a national priority.

The Fresh 20 has made a $250 donation today towards the fight against childhood hunger.
