Giving Back to Sam Simon Foundation
“Saving the lives of dogs to enrich the lives of people.
Sam Simon is the critically acclaimed television writer, producer and director of Taxi, Cheers, The Tracey Ullman Show, The Drew Carey Show & The Simpsons, which he co-created. He received a Peabody Award and a dozen Emmys for his television work. Two years ago, Simon was diagnosed with colon cancer and given 3 months to live. He is using his fight with cancer to do philanthropic work with animals. He set up the Foundation to provide service dogs for veterans, a hearing dog program for the hard of hearing, dogs for adoption, pet visitations for assisted living residents, and a mobile clinic that offers free spay/neutering for pets belonging to low income families.
