Nourish Yourself
I know sometimes cooking can seem like a chore. Some days I just want to be fed without having to peel anything or wash dishes. But something happens to me when I cook at home. I feel nourished. Preparing food can be one of the most important tasks you can do for yourself. It doesn’t have to be fancy. You can make something simple or try something exotic. I’m working myself up to making sushi from my Morimoto cookbook. If you have ever conquered a new dish in the kitchen, you can understand what an accomplishment preparing a meal can be for a home cook. If you haven’t made much more than popcorn, now is your time!
We asked lifestyle expert Lora Krulak to share a few ideas on nourishing yourself through cooking.
Everyone needs to know how to cook something. Anything. At least ONE thing.
Lora says,
When you can cook something and eat at home, you will be excited to share it.
You will sit at your table, eat at home with others, and that is called spreading the love.
THEN – you will cook over and over again.
The more you cook and eat at home, the more you want to cook at home.
The more you do this, the better you will feel and look out—you may even lose a few pounds!
